The Country Mouse Door

Whose there?
This old door opens with a long, familiar, ancient creek and closes with a heavy, definite, defiant , protective thud. Granted, it is not as grand or fancy as a town house door but for generations, it has kept the country mice within, safe and warm. It has held back everything from blizzards to marauding weazles and proudly wears the scars to prove it. The ancient runes it bares have been repainted so many times. Every little mouse is taught their meaning; protection, love and courage. 
This door to the burrow has always been the most welcome sight at the end of many a long journey home.
You will have heard of a Dormouse, well this is a mouse door.
It actually takes some opening and today a cheeky pip squeak of a mouselet can't wait to see who was knocking. I think he must have been expecting you.
You  decide where you situate this intriguing wee entrance. Where it leads from, to where it leads to.....
