Middle sized Snail

This chap fits in mid way, size wise, between my big snails and the little ones, hence the name.
There is an interesting story about his shell. I have a life long habit of picking up stuff I find outside, nature's treasures, well to me at least. I discovered this large and beautiful snail shell, empty, in a war grave yard in Poland. It is a thought provoking and peaceful place. The shell was by a grave of one of the brave souls who lost his life after the great escape.Maybe not relevant to the snail but precious non the less.
