Seamus the sea mouse
Well as days go that day had been a thrilling one. Seamus had always wanted to be a sea mouse and this is how it all begun He had stowed away onboard a ship, just snuck on so he could see what the sea was like. This ship later docked at a busy port… Portsmouth. This place was full of hustle and bustle and the grandest ships he had ever seen.
The British Wavey, he wasn’t sure what that was, but it sounded very important.
Whilst looking at the biggest ship, a nice man had asked if he was a sea mouse. Seamus had looked up and said, “Well not really…but I would love to be one”.
The chap smiled and said,
‘Well you can be my sea mouse as this is my ship”
Seamus's little mouth had dropped open. He stared in absolute wonder
“Yes please” he had said. “Where will I live?”
The kind man smiled and said,
“Well you best stay close to me. You can live in my sleeve as I only have one arm, so it’s an ideal place to stay warm and snug”.
“My name is Seamus, do I call you captain?” asked the rather grateful and ever so polite rodent.
The kind man smiled,
“No. As we're friends you can call me by my name. It’s nice to meet you Seamus…my name is Horatio, welcome aboard The Victory”.
