Big ivory and gold coloured Snail

This is what happens if you let your snail eat gold leaf 😆 
The Big Snail, based on the giant African land snail but seen Through these Eyes.
He has been a long time coming and the journey was frought with many setbacks but now the Big Snail is here in all his intreging, detailed beauty.
 
Sculpted in the summer of 2019, the wax master had several drastic accidents due to the hot weather and needed to be totally resculpted twice. Third time lucky,  the integrity of the design uncompromised, Big Snail eventually made it through to the finish. He will always make me smile because of his troubled journey to creation.
